AFTER SCHOOL TUITION
The After School Centre continues to lead the field in computer based tuition and in One on One tuition. The increasing demands for tuition in IGCSE and Cambridge As and A Level courses is very encouraging and we are pleased to announce that we are now offering tuition in all subjects up to and including A Level and NCEA 3.
YOUTH TRAINING
The TEC Youth Training Courses in Employment Skills, Automotive Training, Trades Training, Computing Levels 2 & 3 are flourishing.
Students have recently completed their leaners and restricted drivers licence tuition and sit their tests soon - good luck!

SET Prepares for Profiles!
As a member of the original
Charters and Profiles group, SET has been prepared for the advent of Profiles, but
substantial changes in the Profile format has prompted a serious review of current
documents. It is hoped that the SET P{rofile will be available by May 15th - Here's
hoping!

AWARDED LONGEST POSSIBLE CHARTER APPROVAL FROM TERTIARY EDUCATION COMMISSION
Congratulations
to SET with the approval of its Charter until December 2009. This is further recognition
of the success achieved by SET and proof of quality systems, policies and procedures. This
award places SET in the top 7% of PTEs in New Zealand.

STUDENT REIGNS SUPREME Pam
Pearce (Stehlin)was recently presented with the Great Hospitality Award at the MIT CHATS
Awards held at Ellerslie Conference Centre. The Award recognised that Pam is an
outstanding student and has that crucial X Factor that puts her apart from others! Pam had
previously completed the Nat Cert Employment Skills and Comuting Level 2 with SET!! INNOVATIVE
LITERACY PROGRAMME CONTRACTS WON BY SET FOR 2002 In 2002 SET
will be involved in the provision of Literacy for Adults in the West Auckland Region and
Youth and Adults in the Manukau Region. These contracts
reflect the expertise in delivery and innovative thinking in design that SET is recognised
for throughout the region. The West
Auckland programme will operate from the West Auckland base at Westgate. The Manukau
programme is an off site programme operating from within selected Provider sites in the
region.
